Terms of Use

These terms apply to your use of the app and website provided by Emircomp LLC (“Emircomp,” “we,” “us”) for Manny: Affirmation Lock (the “Services”). By using the Services you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use them.

Who may use the Services

You must be at least 13 years old, and old enough in your country to agree to these terms. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details secure and for activity on your account.

Using the Services

Use the Services only for lawful purposes. Do not misuse them, interfere with them, reverse-engineer them, or try to access them in ways we do not provide. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable license to use our apps on devices you own or control. We and our licensors keep all rights in the Services.

Manny: app locking and your responsibility

Manny uses Apple’s Screen Time features to lock apps you choose until you complete an affirmation. It depends on iOS permissions and features that Apple controls, and may stop working if you change settings, turn off permissions, or update iOS. The emergency unlock exists so you are never locked out of an app you truly need. You are responsible for deciding which apps to lock. Do not lock apps you may need for safety, work or emergencies. Do not rely on the app for calls or emergency services.

Not medical or professional advice

Manny is a mindfulness and habit tool. It is not medical, mental-health, financial or other professional advice, and it does not diagnose or treat any condition. We make no promise that affirmations or manifestation practices will produce any result in money, love, health or any other area. If you are struggling with your mental health, please talk to a qualified professional.

Subscriptions and purchases

Some features need a paid subscription. The price, billing period and any free trial are shown before you subscribe. Subscriptions are billed through your Apple Account. They renew automatically for the same period unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends. If a free trial is offered, it converts to a paid subscription at the end of the trial unless you cancel before it ends. You can manage or cancel in your Apple Account settings (Settings → your name → Subscriptions). Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies.

For apps distributed through the Apple App Store, Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. Apple is not responsible for the app or its support, and is a third-party beneficiary of these terms as stated in that agreement.

Your content

You keep ownership of what you enter, such as your goals and affirmations. You give us permission to store, process and display it only as needed to provide the Services to you, including sending it to the providers described in our Privacy Policy. AI-generated affirmations are provided as suggestions and may not always be accurate or suitable. Review them before relying on them.

Ending use

You may stop using the Services at any time and delete your account in the app. We may suspend or end access if you break these terms or misuse the Services, and we may change or discontinue features.

Disclaimer

To the extent the law allows, the Services are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, including fitness for a particular purpose and uninterrupted or error-free operation.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, Emircomp is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits or data, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the Services in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or any rights you have as a consumer that cannot be waived.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date above shows when they last changed. Continuing to use the Services after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where your local consumer-protection law requires otherwise.
